Globalisation is a one way process moving the citizens of the World from a system of nation states where national borders and interests interact with each other on an international stage (i.e. in arrangements between nations). A Globablised world is one where nation states and internationl relations are no longer paramount. Global forces in the form of superpower-sized nations, trans-national coporations, non-governmental organisations and inter-government organisations hold sway.

It is going to be an interesting irreversible experiment that could be great for mankind and the environment or could be a disaster. The end result depends on the shape of the major players, the rules of engagement they adopt and the percieved winners' prizes.
