Water covers 70% of the Planet. It comprises over 80% of our bodies. It's found in Oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, streams, underground and if we're lucky comes out of our taps. It's essential to all life on Earth. Water quality is compromised by both naturally occuring and man made contaminants. Water pollution is classified by the type of the pollution; toxic, organic, thermal or ecological and whether the pollution is direct or indirect.
