Worm farming, or vermicomposting, is one of nature's most efficient ways of converting organic waste into fertiliser. As worms wriggle through the soil eating organic waste they both aerate and fertilize it.
Worm farming on a commercial scale can be used to compost household waste, converting it into useful fertiliser for farmers. It can be done at home on a smaller scale, allowing the householder to cheaply convert food scraps into high quality garden compost.
